The island of Lošinj resembles a “green hill” anchored between Istria and Dalmatia, with many islets and rocks that surround it like a flock of seagulls. Its lush and pristine nature, mild and impeccable climate, and maritime and cosmopolitan spirit attracted the Viennese aristocracy to spend their winters here some 130 years ago. The people of Lošinj no longer needed to sail the world as the world came to them. So close to Pula, Rijeka and Zadar, and yet so far at sea, Lošinj was, and still is attractive to everyone in search of pure relaxation and the rehabilitation of the body and mind.
